So to have this reviewer be the first to bring this up, that I did a good job balancing both the technical stuff and the character aspects of the story puts a huge smile on my face. :-)

| Lucas Taylor is a hard-working New York City fireman at Station 127, dedicated to his job, even though it has brought him heartrending tragedy - the loss of his lover, Ryan, in an explosion a year ago. Evan Singer is the new guy in town, a paramedic transferred into Station 127 from San Antonio, and he sets his eyes on Lucas from the get-go. Neither knowing who the other is, their first meeting is explosive, a night of passion and desire that awakens something inside Lucas he never thought he'd feel again. But when Lucas discovers that Evan is a paramedic, it all comes crashing down. For despite the feelings he has for Evan, Lucas has vowed to never again get involved with someone on the job, after losing Ryan to it. Can Evan convince Lucas to open up his heart and take a chance on love again, despite who Evan is? ♥ ♥ ♥ I love firefighter stories, so I had high hopes for Burnin’ For You. Luckily, it didn’t disappoint. Ms. Miller | |

Evan agrees to take things slow since it's obvious that Lucas is recovering from the loss of his lover. Jamie Lynn Miller blends blistering M/M sex scenes with a truly tender love story that is emotional and real. The firehouse scenes and three action-packed, edge of your seat incidents Station 127 handles are just amazing. Miller writes these scenes as deftly as she does the often emotionally bruising love scenes in which Lucas struggles with the idea opening his heart once again. Considering that all this is stuffed into sixty pages is staggering. Lucas and Evan come across as wonderful men and the interaction with the secondary characters is convincing and compelling. |

| MR Review Burnin' for You by Jamie Lynn Miller A chance meeting throws two firefighters together, and they give in to passion. Lucas is still mourning his lover's death, and he thinks his night with Evan is just stress relief. But when they find out they have to work closely in the fire station, they can't deny their true feelings. First of all, firemen are hot (excuse the pun). Gay firemen? Even hotter. So I was looking forward to reading this one, and the author didn't disappoint. Hot sex, unwilling emotions, angst, adventure…Burning for You has it all. It's short, but long enough for plenty of action and back-story, and the men come to life. The writing is near perfect as well and I can't wait to read more from Jamie Lynn Miller. |

| Burnin’ for You is a short little flamer – hot and steamy in more ways than one! Jamie Lynn Miller introduces us to Lucas Taylor, a firefighter who two years ago lost his true love and since then has pulled back into himself – afraid to let anyone in again. On the two year anniversary of his lover’s death Lucas looks across the room into a set of new eyes, eyes he can’t seem to resist. Not sure whether it’s the drink or just the intense need to feel someone’s arms around him he goes home with Evan, the stranger from across the room. Burnin’ For You is the story of how the love of one man can conquer the hurt and heal the deep wounds of another. The characters are charming, Lucus is definitely the gruff and tough firefighter, and Evan shows an amazing amount of compassion for a younger man. I really enjoyed this story which shows you that life and love are worth taking chances for. | |
