| When we first meet Matthew he’s on the set with the man he’s secretly in love with, his co-star Daniel. They’re setting up for a stunt which goes horribly wrong and Daniel is blinded. Matthew steps right in to take care of him and from the beginning the reader can feel Matthew’s devotion to Daniel in the way he cares for the other man. When Daniel’s sight doesn’t return as hoped he is angry, upset and frightened but Matthew is there for him even though he’s riding his own rollercoaster of emotions. As Matthew cares for Daniel, he struggles with the sexual attraction, not wanting to take advantage of Daniel and not knowing if his feelings are reciprocated. In Darkness Falls, Jamie Lynn Miller brings us a wonderful story about longing, devotion and love. The character of Matthew is well written and we can really feel the depth of his caring for Daniel. There are some repetitive words and phrases in the book but nothing that detracts from the story focus. The love scenes between the two are nicely done with a buildup to the finale. I really liked this book and you will too if you like love stories with hot sex and happy ending. | |

Matthew Tucker is working on a series with his best friend Daniel Westman. When an accidental explosion blinds Daniel he is rushed to the hospital, where Matthew stays with him. When Daniel finds out the blindness might be permanent Matthew who has always been attracted to Daniel stays with him taking care of him.
Daniel turns to Matthew for support and guidance. When the bandages are taken off Daniel still can't see and he retreats into anger. Matthew pulls Daniel out of his anger when he tells Daniel of his love of him. Daniel finds out returns his love. Though will Daniel be able to beat his self-imposed solitude for Matthew or will he fall into depression?
Darkness Falls is a good book with an interesting storyline. There was much emotion throughout. I really enjoyed reading it.

with co-star, Daniel Westman, for quite some time. While the two men have become close friends, Matthew, unsure if his feelings will be reciprocated, has been afraid to express his desires to Daniel.
